BASIC FUNCTION Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Business Services, the facility manager will implement and maintain the District Long‑Range Facilities Master Plan for projects involving facility planning, design, acquisition, construction, and modernization. Responsibilities include managing financing and expenditures to ensure schools and ancillary facilities are constructed, renovated, and available in a timely manner; administering contracts, representing the District, and serving as a liaison with architects, contractors, State and local agencies, District personnel, and the community. The manager will also supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES Plan, implement, organize, and administer the District’s Long‑Range Facilities Master Plan, including construction and modernization projects. Analyze needs, recommend building priorities, and establish monitoring and reporting systems. Coordinate new‑construction and modernization projects, including moving, demolition, and improvements. Determine eligibility and apply for construction, renovation, and modernization funds, prepare budgets, monitor expenditures, and comply with financial documentation requirements. Serve as the liaison for the District with state and local agencies, including the California Department of Education and the Office of Public School Construction. Coordinate site analysis, property acquisition, and design for the master plan. Communicate with county, city, developer, and architect staff on enrollment impact and land‑use decisions. Provide technical expertise, develop policies, advise administration, and monitor contractor performance and compliance with specifications and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Oversee specifications, labor standards, and procurement documents. Maintain records, prepare reports, conduct presentations, and conduct professional development. Operate computer and respond to emergency calls. Perform related duties as assigned.
