Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll coordination, cash management, and general ledger
Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close; prepare financial statements and reporting packages
Develop annual budgets and forecasts in partnership with leadership
Maintain and strengthen internal controls, support audits, and ensure GAAP compliance
Supervise and mentor accounting staff; lead process improvements and special projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Finance considered with strong accounting experience)
5+ years of accounting experience
3+ years management/supervisory experience
Hands‑on experience in AP, AR, payroll coordination, reconciliations, JE, and full close
Experience with budgeting and forecasting
Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks Desktop
Strong communication and sound judgment; must collaborate closely with leadership
Preferred (Bonus, Not Required)
Grants experience (state‑level or similar)
Background in a small‑company or nonprofit environment
CPA or working toward CPA
