Key Responsibilities

Build and nurture external relationships with a healthcare provider team (MD, PA, NP, RN, Pharm.D.) and develop and manage a geographical territory.

Develop and maintain a territory strategic plan, including clinical activities with identified opinion leaders, institutions, community practices, pathway influencers, and advocacy organizations.

Demonstrate strategic territory planning and the ability to build strong relationships within the territory with effective data delivery.

Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries and conduct scientific exchange with community and institutional HCPs.

Present data and information in an appropriate manner for the audience and request.

Execute plans regarding reactive and proactive outreaches as approved via the legal/HCC exceptions process.

Integrate scientific data into real‑life practice to meet customer needs, adapting interpersonal style to particular situations and people.

Listen for and collect medical insights and submit them for analysis.

Leverage knowledge of standards of care and company/investigator‑sponsored clinical trials and the competitor landscape to facilitate external‑internal research communication.

Engage with external investigators regarding unsolicited research inquiries and act as liaison to R&D, Medical Affairs, and operations teams.

Provide clinical trial support, identify potential sites, resolve issues with enrolled sites, and participate in meetings as appropriate, including site initiation visits and investigator launch meetings.

Actively participate in journal clubs, demonstrate understanding of current standard of care, and regularly share scientific news with team members.

Set aside time for self‑driven learning on the current scientific landscape.

Attend scientific conferences to gather and understand new scientific information relevant to the company and the external scientific community.

Perform all administrative requirements in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner (e.g., expense reports, documentation of activities).

Provide regional and local support to enhance sales training initiatives and improve competencies of field personnel in partnership with Sales Learning and Development.

Communicate and collaborate with all field‑based partners, RWV&E, and other Oncology MSL teams on a routine basis.

Develop a thorough understanding and competence in regulatory and healthcare compliance guidelines, corporate policies on appropriate business conduct and ethical behavior, MAF SOPs, and guidelines.

Qualifications

PharmD, PhD, MD, or other advanced medical degree (NP, PA)

Minimum of 2+ years of relevant clinical, research, or related pharmaceutical work experience.

Significant experience giving presentations.

Ability to support travel up to 70% including overnight travel, some weekend commitments such as meetings and congresses.

A valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record.

Reside within the defined territory or eligible for relocation.

Preferred

Knowledge or experience in Oncology.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and remote technologies.

Prior experience as an MSL.

Anticipated Base Pay Range $117,000.00 - $201,250.00
