Job Description Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the New England territory.

Our Oncology team is focused on the elimination of cancer by discovering new pathways and modalities to find treatments and cures. We lead where medicine is going and need innovators with an unwavering commitment to results.

The MSL is responsible for providing fair, balanced, objective, scientific information and education to health care professionals and to internal partners as required by scientific and business needs. The MSL is considered the scientific and clinical source for current and future Janssen Oncology products and stays abreast of current scientific and treatment landscape trends. The MSL provides research support for company and investigator-initiated research.

Key responsibilities include:

Build and maintain external relationships with health care provider teams (MD, PA, NP, RN, Pharm.D.) and develop/manage a geographical territory.

Develop and maintain a territory strategic plan, including clinical activities with identified opinion leaders, institutions, community practices, pathways influencers, and advocacy organizations.

Perform scientific exchange with community and institutional HCPs.

Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries and present data appropriately.

Execute plans for reactive and proactive outreaches per legal/HCC exceptions process.

Gather and share medical insights to support internal research.

Leverage knowledge of standards of care and clinical trials to facilitate external–internal research communication.

Engage investigators for unsolicited research inquiries and liaise with R&D, Medical Affairs, and operations teams.

Provide clinical trial support: identify sites, resolve issues, participate in site initiation and investigator launch meetings.

Participate in journal clubs, self‑driven learning, and scientific conferences to maintain strong scientific acumen.

Perform administrative requirements (expense reports, activity documentation).

Collaborate with sales training initiatives and enhance field personnel competencies.

Maintain knowledge of regulatory and compliance guidelines, corporate policies, and MAF SOPs.

Qualifications

PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, or PA.

Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience (clinical, research, or pharma).

Significant presentation experience.

Ability to support up to 70% travel, including overnight and weekend commitments.

Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean record.

Resides within the defined territory or eligible to relocate.

Preferred

Knowledge or experience in Oncology.

Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and remote technologies.

Prior MSL experience.

Salary Anticipated base pay range: $117,000.00 - $201,250.00
