About Us A leading national multifamily developer is seeking a Vice President of Construction to oversee all aspects of construction operations for its Denver-based regional portfolio. This executive-level role will report directly to the President of Construction and play a critical role in the success of multiple high-density residential projects across preconstruction, execution, and turnover. What You’ll Do
Oversee both in-house construction teams and third-party general contractors across multiple projects
Lead preconstruction planning, value engineering, subcontractor negotiations, and cost control initiatives
Maintain direct accountability for project budgets, schedules, risk management, and quality assurance
Interface with development, design, and property management teams to ensure seamless coordination from start to turnover
Recruit and manage regional operations staff and oversee team performance, development, and structure
Lead executive-level reporting, forecasting, and P&L oversight for the region’s construction division
Foster long-term relationships with external partners, including consultants, lenders, and vendors
Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with internal policies and all regulatory requirements
Serve as the go-to executive for emergency response and crisis management across construction operations
What You Bring
15+ years of experience in construction, with a focus on high-density multifamily or mixed-use development
Proven leadership in overseeing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
Strong understanding of preconstruction, estimating, scheduling, and value engineering
Prior experience with regional P&L responsibility and team management
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Business (or equivalent experience)
Exceptional communication, executive presence, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams
