Director of Environmental Planning - Construction
Salary: $155,000-$200,000/Year + Annual Bonus + Profit Sharing
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with environmental planning staff, subconsultant technical specialists, and other subconsultants.
- Manage budgets and invoices, and interact with clients and reviewing agencies (county, city, CDFW, RWQCB, USACE).
- Prepare proposals and engage in business development, requiring strong communication and interest in those activities.
- Apply QA/QC and interpersonal expertise to build collaborative relationships among team members, other RICK staff, clients, subconsultants, and agencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in environmental studies, environmental science, environmental engineering, public planning, or a related field.
- 15 or more years of experience preferred. Candidates with less experience but otherwise excellent credentials will also be considered.
- Strong understanding of San Diego and the broader Southern California region, and relationships with agencies or key clients. Relocation assistance available.
- Experience leading proposals, business pursuits, and marketing of environmental consulting services.
- Existing client relationships and ability to build relationships with a wide variety of people.
- Excellent writing, verbal communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, including spelling, proofreading, and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
