Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative II provides high-quality patient support by collecting and preparing blood specimens for testing while ensuring accuracy, safety, and excellent customer experience.
- This role involves direct interaction with patients, maintaining a professional environment, and following established procedures.
- The representative may work in a doctor s office, patient service center, or other assigned location.
- Ability to perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Ability to maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Skilled in forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing.
- Ability to verify patient demographic information and post-venipuncture verification.
- Ability to maintain required records and documentation.
- Strong organizational commitment and professionalism.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and good judgment.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver s license, if applicable.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in high-volume settings.
- Strong customer focus and effective communication skills.
- 1 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- 2 years of experience in a patient service center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard and data entry experience.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection following procedure.
- Confirm patient demographic information and post-venipuncture verification.
- Maintain documentation and required records.
- Promote a positive, professional image to patients, clients, and the public.
- Ability to communicate clearly with peers, supervisors, and patients.
- Ability to adapt to change and maintain transparency.
- Strong phlebotomy skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
