Job Description:

  • The Patient Services Representative II represents the face of the company to patients who arrive for routine health needs or important diagnostic decisions.
  • The PSR II draws high-quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing while following established procedures.
  • This role involves direct patient interaction, creating an atmosphere of trust by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood collection safely and accurately.
  • The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in handling patient information.
  • Assignments may include a doctor s office, a patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
  • Under the direction of the area supervisor, the PSR II performs daily activities accurately and on time, maintains a professional and safe environment, and completes both forensic and clinical specimen collection with confidence.
  • Additional responsibilities include verifying patient demographic information, ensuring proper labeling, maintaining records, and promoting a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime based on staffing needs.
  • Commitment to company policies and procedures, including dress code and health and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver s license, if applicable.
  • Ability to travel, work flexible hours, and cover multiple locations with minimal notice.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to communicate openly with peers, supervisors, and patients.
  • Ability to adapt to change and demonstrate knowledge of business operations.
Experience:
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a patient service center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard and data entry experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Qualification And Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
