Job Description:

  • The Patient Services Representative II provides high-quality patient care by performing accurate specimen collection and maintaining a professional and safe environment.
  • This role requires direct interaction with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust while explaining procedures and ensuring skilled, safe, and accurate blood collection.
  • The individual will focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information and may work in a doctor s office, patient service center, or other assigned locations.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
  • Commitment to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ability to make decisions using established procedures and good judgment.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver s license when applicable.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours at multiple locations with minimal notice.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  • Strong customer focus with effective communication skills and adaptability.
Experience:
  • 1 to 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • 2 years in a patient service center environment (preferred).
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment (highly preferred).
  • Keyboard and data entry experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under supervisor direction.
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information and ensure correct labeling post-collection.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and staff.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred).
  • Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in select states).
