Job Description:

  • The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients, supporting both routine healthcare needs and critical health decisions.
  • This role is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established procedures.
  • The PSR II has direct patient contact and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.
  • The role demonstrates leadership behaviors with a strong focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
  • Assignments may include work in a doctor s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient initials and signature post-venipuncture to confirm proper labeling.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed
  • Commitment to company policies, dress code, health and safety standards, and guiding principles.
  • Ability to make decisions using established procedures and sound judgment
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  • Strong customer focus with effective communication skills and adaptability to change.
Experience:
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum of two years experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
Skills:
  • Phlebotomy and specimen collection.
  • Patient interaction and customer service.
  • Documentation and record maintenance.
  • Keyboard and data entry skills.
Qualification And Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
