Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative II represents the face of the company to patients.
- This role involves collecting high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining a professional, safe, and patient-focused environment.
- The PSR II explains procedures clearly, ensures accuracy and confidentiality of patient information, and may be assigned to a doctor s office, a patient service center, or other locations as needed.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Commitment to company policies, procedures, dress code, and safety guidelines.
- Ability to make decisions using established procedures and good judgment.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver s license if required.
- Ability to travel to multiple locations with minimal notice.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Strong customer focus and communication skills.
- Keyboard and data entry skills.
- 1 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Experience in a patient service center preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service settings preferred.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under supervisor direction.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
- Verify patient demographic information and signatures to ensure proper labeling.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients and the public.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Strong phlebotomy skills.
