About the Role 2 Hour Learning has built a system where students achieve twice the learning velocity in only two hours per day. We seek an academic leader who can harmonize execution across varied school models, lift academic leadership standards, and champion a movement grounded in robust learning science.

What You Will Do

Design academic frameworks that translate learning science into actionable direction for curriculum, motivation, and product architecture.

Conduct academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability and outcome delivery.

Integrate data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem reviews to identify key obstacles and recommend concrete interventions.

Ensure strategic alignment through planning, feedback mechanisms and milestone monitoring to keep focus on student learning objectives.

Represent 2 Hour Learning in high‑profile settings, delivering keynote presentations and engaging ministries of education, advancing systemic transformation.

What You Won’t Do

Engage in isolated curriculum initiatives that fail to produce systemic transformation.

Produce theoretical research disconnected from student outcomes or operational execution.

Transfer accountability for performance to mid‑level managers or external consultants.

Rely on institutional reputation or theoretical constructs to convince skeptical audiences.

Key Responsibilities Expand and refine 2 Hour Learning’s validated academic model by harmonizing execution across all schools, raising leadership standards, and establishing yourself as the authoritative voice of a rigorous, evidence‑based movement.

Basic Requirements

Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design or related field.

7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes.

Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning.

Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books or advising.

Strong performance‑management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar.

Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions.

Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders.

Nice‑to‑have Requirements

Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high‑performing EdTech venture.

Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts.

Deep familiarity with Bloom’s 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks.

Working With Us This is a full‑time (40 hrs/week) long‑term position. The role is immediately available and requires entering an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. Compensation is $200/hr with weekly payment.
