Outpatient Obstetric Nurse – Academic Medical Center Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our busy academic medical center’s obstetrical clinic. This role focuses on providing comprehensive outpatient obstetric care to low, medium, and high‑risk patients in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
BLS certification required; additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, NRP) preferred.
EPIC experience strongly preferred.
OB/GYN nursing experience and strong IV skills are a plus.
1–2 years of clinical nursing experience is a plus, ideally in an outpatient or ambulatory setting.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and time‑management skills.
Ability to multitask and provide quality care in a fast‑paced environment.
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Registered Nurse (RN) state license required.

Essential Functions
Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patient responses and conditions.
