Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift position in the Emergency Department Short Stay Unit with an active NY RN license and Epic EMR experience required.
Responsibilities Position is located in the Emergency Department Short Stay Unit of a hospital setting Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30 Care for patients requiring short-term observation in an emergency department environment EMR used is Epic and experience with Epic is required No blocked scheduling allowed Candidates must not reside within Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties or within a 50-mile radius of the facility No local candidates from specified counties or within the 50-mile radius are eligible Competency testing required for ICU and MS applicants, with two attempts to pass More than three call outs during a 13-week contract may result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks of the last call out Requests for time off must be submitted with the application Medical scrubs are required Travel pairs are not permitted
Requirements Active NY RN license required Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the emergency department specialty Current certifications from AHA or RQI must be provided Epic EMR experience is required No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months US Social Security Number required for consideration Flu vaccination required with only medical exemptions accepted if signed by a licensed professional
