Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. In this Contract to permanent position, you will provide essential support to the VP of Finance, ensuring smooth financial operations and accurate record-keeping. This role requires a strong background in financial processes and administrative tasks, along with excellent organizational skills. Responsibilities:
- Manage and process tax-related documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations (excluding tax preparation).
- Coordinate the opening and closing of bank accounts in collaboration with financial institutions.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, maintaining accurate records.
- Utilize QuickBooks to manage financial data and generate reports.
- Perform data entry with precision to ensure financial information is accurate and up to date.
- Process invoices efficiently, verifying details and resolving discrepancies.
- Support the VP of Finance with administrative duties and financial reporting.
- Maintain organized financial records and assist in audits when required.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters. Requirements - Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
- Experience using QuickBooks for financial management.
- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Knowledge of invoice processing and reconciliation procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with stakeholders.
- Previous experience in a financial or administrative support role preferred.
