Position Overview Tenured Professor in Cancer Biology at the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, College of Biological Sciences, University of California, Davis. Candidates should focus on fundamental questions in cancer biology at the molecular, cellular, and organismal level using laboratory and computational approaches. Salary range:

$96,500 – $163,600 base salary (off‑scale salaries and additional compensation may be offered to meet competitive conditions).

The range is based on rank, step, and qualifications and does not include variable compensation.

Position Description The appointment will be at the tenured Associate or Full Professor level, depending on experience and qualifications. The successful applicant will hold membership in the Integrated Cancer Biology Program of the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center and may receive renewable appointment to the Albrecht Endowed Chair in Basic Science. A joint appointment in a suitable School of Medicine department is possible.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent with significant post‑doctoral experience and a record of independent research in cancer biology.

Participation in department, college, and university service as a member of UC Davis Division of the Academic Senate is expected.

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. or equivalent with significant post‑doctoral experience in cancer biology.

Track record of independent research with current and past funding from the National Cancer Institute (NCI).

Additional Qualifications

Excellence in research that complements or extends existing department strengths.

A vibrant research program with strong extramural funding.

Evidence of commitment to the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion for historically under‑represented and marginalized student communities, integrated with teaching, research, and service.

Commitment to excellence in teaching, with evidence of ability to develop and teach undergraduate graduate courses or seminars.
