Talent Acquisition and Staffing Manager Facilitating Growth and Development by Bridging Businesses with Exceptional Talent Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Talent Acquisition Leader to oversee full‑cycle recruiting for the Midwest region. This role combines leadership, process optimization, and compliance oversight to ensure efficient hiring and an exceptional candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities
Own full‑cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
Partner with regional operations, safety, and compliance teams to align hiring with business needs.
Drive adoption of ATS and HR systems to streamline recruiting workflows and reporting.
Lead and develop a team of recruiters and sourcers, ensuring performance metrics are achieved.
Provide coaching and training on interview techniques, compliance, and candidate experience.
Manage system access and permissions for recruiting team members.
Implement standardized interview processes and job‑specific rubrics to reduce time‑to‑fill and improve retention.
Monitor and improve early retention through recruiter check‑ins and onboarding follow‑up.
Pilot and scale AI or automation tools for screening and scheduling.
Ensure all hiring steps comply with state and federal regulations, including medical exams, background checks, and other pre‑employment requirements.
Oversee document collection and onboarding completion in HR systems.
Coordinate with compliance and training teams to ensure candidates are ready for their roles.
Deliver a caring, connected candidate journey with timely communication, transparency, and professionalism.
Ensure candidates have a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.
Qualifications
5+ years leading high‑performing talent acquisition teams, ideally in logistics, transportation, or multi‑site operations.
Strong knowledge of ATS and HR systems (e.g., Workday).
Familiarity with multi‑state hiring regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience using data‑driven approaches to inform recruitment strategy.
Willingness to travel across the Midwest region up to 25%.
$130,000 - $145,000 (based on experience)
