High Voltage (HV) Design and Release Engineer , you will lead the design, validation, and release of high voltage wiring harnesses and components, driving innovation, quality, and performance in next‑generation electric vehicle systems.

Pay Rate:
$46.06 per hour
Schedule:
Hybrid - 4 days per week in‑office, with flexible remote options

Key Responsibilities
Lead design, development, validation, and release of HV wiring harnesses and associated components
Drive design improvements to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and optimize system weight
Update and design wiring changes using 3DX/CATIA and maintain system schematics
Apply Robustness Engineering Disciplines such as FMEA, P‑Diagrams, and quality history analysis
Lead Technical Design Reviews (TDRs) and present design proposals to stakeholders
Manage part releases in FEDEBOM and WERS, supporting Change Control Meetings
Perform harness complexity analysis and engineering cost estimates
Develop and execute test plans for bench testing, vehicle integration, functional validation, performance, and safety tests
Analyze test data and implement design improvements as needed
Lead issue resolution in Digital and Build Phases of Product Development
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including mechanical, battery systems, powertrain, controls, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality
Manage supplier relationships for HV components and harnesses, ensuring quality and delivery standards
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262, UL, SAE, and IEC
Support prototype and production build events and manufacturing sign‑offs
Maintain GPDS deliverables and participate in required training programs
Qualifications & Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics preferred)
5‑10 years of high voltage wiring harness design and vehicle launch experience
Basic 3D CAD knowledge (3DX preferred; CATIA or TeamCenter acceptable)
Understanding of Ford GPDS standards, automotive PPAP process, and feature partitioning
Strong English proficiency (written and oral)
Preferred
Advanced CAD design experience (3DX/CATIA/TeamCenter)
Knowledge of wiring harness manufacturing, PFMEA, control plans, and line flow charts
Component testing experience (bench, dyno, vehicle)
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
Working knowledge of commercially available AI tools and resources
Strong project management and time management skills
