Vice President, Medical Affairs
Position Summary
The Vice President of Medical Affairs elevates Empower’s clinical credibility, evidence leadership, and therapeutic influence by building and scaling a medical platform that reshapes the future of compounding. This executive defines Empower’s strategic medical direction, embeds clinical intelligence across the organization, and ensures every product, protocol, and communication is grounded in scientific rigor, customer insight, and regulatory integrity. This leader transforms Medical Affairs into a competitive advantage—driving adoption, accelerating launches, and amplifying trust from physicians to the boardroom. Success requires a proven ability to build teams, deploy AI for insight and efficiency, and establish Empower as the clinical gold standard in personalized medicine.
Responsibilities
Define and execute a differentiated, evidence-based medical strategy.
Build a robust clinical evidence engine and drive peer-reviewed publication.
Lead partnerships with external investigators, IRBs, and health systems.
Serve as Empower’s clinical steward in FDA and State Board interactions.
Act as the clinical conscience across R&D, Legal, Regulatory, and Commercial.
Translate medical insights into enterprise priorities and board-level strategy.
Establish formal mechanisms to capture and act on physician and patient insights.
Recruit, develop, and retain a high-output, mission-aligned team.
Launch best-in-class field medical operations, training, and deployment.
Install scalable infrastructure for publication planning, safety, and compliance.
Implement consistent KPIs to track clinical impact and performance.
Partner with Sales and Marketing to ensure scientific accuracy and compliance.
Lead medical review and launch-readiness processes with urgency and rigor.
Shape therapy adoption strategies using data-driven playbooks.
Define team structure, recruitment priorities, and execution timelines.
Set department goals, metrics, and 90-day deliverables.
Install systems and processes that support scalability, speed, and compliance.

Experience And Qualifications
M.D., Pharm.D., Ph.D., or equivalent advanced clinical degree required.
15+ years of progressive Medical Affairs leadership in life sciences or healthcare.
Proven experience leading high-growth or transformation-stage organizations.
Track record of building medical affairs infrastructure from the ground up.
Demonstrated success in regulatory engagement, publication strategy, and launch readiness.
Experience integrating AI into medical or operational decision-making preferred.
