Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Bethesda, Maryland. This is a Contract position that requires a strong ability to manage financial transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will excel in data entry, customer service, and processing invoices while contributing to a positive and efficient work environment. Responsibilities:
- Input accounts payable data into accounting systems with accuracy and efficiency.
- Organize and maintain financial documents through scanning and filing processes.
- Handle customer service inquiries professionally and provide timely assistance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and problem resolution.
- Process invoices and reconcile discrepancies to maintain up-to-date records.
- Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including payment tracking and reporting.
- Utilize QuickBooks and other financial software to manage transactions effectively.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Monitor and report on the status of accounts payable and receivable.
- Support the team with additional administrative and accounting tasks as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with invoice processing and financial record management.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service with a detail-oriented approach.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
