About the Role Holton Manor is seeking a motivated, hands‑on Assistant Director of Environmental Services eager to learn the ins and outs of facility operations, safety systems, and preventive maintenance. No prior healthcare or maintenance experience is required—we’ll train you.

Responsibilities

Support Daily Maintenance & Safety Operations:

Assist with routine building maintenance, minor repairs, painting, and equipment checks.

Maintain Building Systems:

Learn and help keep HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety equipment operational.

Participate in Life Safety Rounds:

Perform paperwork and contribute to preventive maintenance tasks.

Emergency Preparedness:

Learn procedures and help run fire drills and safety training.

Compliance Support:

Aid in meeting state, federal and NFPA life safety codes.

Clean & Hazard‑Free Workspaces:

Keep the environment safe for residents and staff.

Team Collaboration:

Respond to staff work‑order requests with a service‑mindset and interact respectfully with residents and families.

Continuous Improvement:

Bring fresh ideas for improving safety, efficiency, and resident experience.

Qualifications

Positive, teachable attitude with enthusiasm for a maintenance & life safety career.

Interest in problem‑solving, tools, and hands‑on work.

Reliable, organized, and able to prioritize tasks.

Comfortable interacting with older adults.

Physical ability to lift/carry equipment as needed with proper safety training.

No prior maintenance experience required.
