Electrical Designer I - Anonymous Client
Electrical Engineers and Electrical Designers are responsible for the design, coordination, documentation, and delivery of electrical building systems for an "Anonymous Client" sector. Think remodels and new builds for many of their storefront and distribution locations.
Depending on experience level, individuals may perform engineering calculations, prepare and review design documents, coordinate with project teams, manage tasks or projects, provide technical leadership, mentor others, and support business development activities. All team members are expected to uphold a client‑centric mindset, demonstrate quality and integrity, and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and continuously learning environment.

Responsibilities
Prepare design documents under the supervision of experienced engineering and design staff.
Assist with engineering calculations, basic design tasks, and research on products, systems, and applicable codes.
Support the review of shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications and participate in field verification as directed.
Collaborate with experienced staff to understand client requirements and project scope, acting as a liaison to relay client and architect questions and responses to the design team.
Support project coordination activities under the guidance of senior staff, including emails, scope tracking, and schedule coordination.
May participate in business development or pursuit activities under direct supervision and occasionally attend client, company, or industry events.
Foster a client‑centric mindset and approach in all work, assisting with client communication as appropriate.
Visit job sites for observation, learning, and professional development opportunities.
Continuously seek to expand knowledge and fill gaps in industry or discipline expertise.
Develop proficiency in industry‑standard software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office products.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural) and 1 year of relevant experience or 4 years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred.
Basic proficiency in engineering design: basic knowledge of the A&E industry, codes, design guides, and standards.
MEP/Construction industry experience preferred.
Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam Revu.
High technical aptitude: ability to learn, understand, and utilize various systems and processes.
Effective critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and engineering design software applicable to your discipline or focus.
Clear communication and willingness to ask questions.
Accountability, reliability, and ethical behavior.
Commitment to accuracy and quality.
Collaboration and receptiveness to feedback.
