Position Summary The Director of Risk Management (Facility Risk Manager/FRM) has broad responsibility to protect the hospital’s assets from loss. The FRM coordinates loss control efforts, advises management and administration on potential sources of loss, and makes recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure. The Risk Management Program complies with Joint Commission, TDSHS, CMS standards, and other regulatory guidelines.

Reporting, Report Preparation and Submission
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or a related health field required; Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience: Four years in risk management or improving organizational performance within an acute medical or psychiatric treatment setting.
Additional Requirements: Strong knowledge of Joint Commission, TDSHS, CMS standards, and applicable federal and state regulations governing mental health care facilities.
