Myticas Consulting is seeking an on-site Human Resources Generalist to support a professional services organization in Naperville, IL. In this role, you will own key parts of the employee lifecycle for both consultants and internal employees—managing onboarding, administering benefits, providing payroll support, and offering front‑office assistance. You will be the primary point of contact for HR‑related questions, help drive a positive employee experience, and contribute to HR process improvements within a fast‑paced, people‑focused environment. Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage all aspects of the onboarding process for new hires, including background checks, drug screenings, and required employment documentation. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations throughout the onboarding process. Administer employee benefits programs (enrollments, changes, terminations) and support annual open enrollment, answering employee questions and liaising with benefit providers. Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and consultants on HR‑related inquiries, policy interpretation, and general HR support, helping foster engagement and retention. Assist with payroll preparation and reconciliation, ensuring accurate and timely processing, and support HR operations tasks such as employment verifications, audits, and reporting. Provide general office assistance, including answering phones, ordering supplies, and managing mailings. Requirements

Must be based within daily commuting distance of Naperville, Illinois, and able to work on‑site. 2–4 years of HR generalist or HR specialist experience with hands‑on exposure to onboarding, benefits administration, and payroll support. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables or similar). Experience using HRIS systems, payroll software, and/or benefits administration platforms. Demonstrated working knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices and prior experience supporting employee or consultant populations in a corporate or professional services environment. Preferred Skills

Experience working in a staffing or consulting firm environment. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. Experience providing general office support such as answering phones, ordering supplies, and managing mailings. Experience contributing to HR process improvement or HR operations projects.
