The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking a full‑time Physician Assistant. Physician Assistants will work at OSF Little Company of Mary, where we are completing an excellent group of APPs and physicians. The hospital is located in Evergreen Park on Chicago’s south side, addressing an underserved population. The Emergency Department is newly renovated and also serves as a core site for the UIC Emergency Medicine Residency.
Job Responsibilities Managing the care of patients within assigned area and/or area of expertise within the parameters of medical staff privileges Working collaboratively with other providers in the care of patients, providing education to patients, families, and significant others Integrating evidence-based knowledge and clinical expertise in decision‑making Acting as a resource for clinical staff in the practice setting and participating in the educational experience of learners Leading multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated delivery of patient care services Completing a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education in pediatric emergency topics every two years, approved by an accrediting agency
Qualifications All physician assistants caring for children in the emergency department and fast track/urgent care area shall have documentation of a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education in pediatric emergency topics every two years, approved by an accrediting agency.
Benefits This position is intended to be eligible for benefits, including Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, a Retirement Plan, Paid time Off, and Tuition waivers for employees and dependents. Salary: The budgeted base salary range is $125,901 – $158,823, commensurate with qualifications and experience and aligned with internal equity.
