Healthcare Consulting The post‑COVID environment is rapidly changing. Healthcare organizations must integrate transformative technology, adjust to patient‑focused operations, and maintain discipline to withstand increasing pressures. As a manager within our Health consulting practice, you’ll work with hospitals, integrated delivery networks, insurers, and other stakeholders to transform operations and meet evolving market demands.

The opportunity As a Senior Consultant on our Health team, you’ll help health systems and insurance companies tackle financial and operational challenges. You’ll turn complex data into clear insights, elevate client outcomes, improve access to care, and streamline costs. If you thrive in client‑facing roles and care about healthcare, this position is for you.

Your Key Responsibilities Team with our provider team and work across a broad spectrum of not‑for‑profit and for‑profit healthcare clients—including hospitals, systems, physician practices, and academic medical centers—to assess and redesign clinical processes.

Skills And Attributes For Success

Effectively manage and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills. Foster an innovative and inclusive team‑oriented environment. Mentor junior consultants.

Build relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels. Deliver quality client services on time and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk, and keep stakeholders informed.

Cultivate and manage business development opportunities. Understand EY’s service lines and present ways to serve clients. Maintain long‑term client relationships.

Demonstrate in‑depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience in healthcare, insurance, business analysis, consulting, or a related field.

Approximately 2 years of healthcare consulting experience, preferably at a consulting firm.

Generate revenue within existing clients and develop prospects at the C‑level of large healthcare companies.

Manage teams of staff/senior consultants.

Collaborate in a team environment; lead when appropriate and follow when needed.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, oral, and written communication skills.

Willingness to travel as required by client needs.

Leadership and inclusivity in a diverse, team‑based environment.

Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.

Intellectual curiosity, initiative, and advanced analytical skills amid evolving business environments.

Agile and growth‑oriented mindset.

Strong commercial awareness and desire to impact global and domestic companies positively.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of health plans, systems, and industry‑specific applications.

Exposure to operational improvement, benchmarking, financial quantification, cost reduction/revenue enhancement, or workflow redesign in health.

Comprehensive compensation and benefits: base salary range $97,300–$178,300 statewide, $116,700–$202,600 for NYC, Washington, CA (excluding Sacramento). Additional benefits include medical, dental, pension, 401(k), and paid time off.

Hybrid model: most external client roles work 40–60% in‑person across engagements.
