Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Massachusetts requiring Neuro IR and stroke expertise.
Responsibilities
Position based in a hospital Interventional Radiology department
Department features 5 procedure rooms handling CT and ultrasound-guided procedures
Daily caseload typically includes 12-16 cases with an average patient ratio of 1:1 and up to 6-7 patients per day
Work schedule consists of day shifts with a combination of 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts and no set day off
On-call required during nights, weekends, and one major holiday per schedule period, with a 30-minute call back time
On-call rooms are available if required
Main responsibilities include supporting Neuro IR and stroke procedures and interpreting telemetry
Team handles high-acuity procedures in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma environment
Requires two recent professional references, one from a manager level, with one within the last 12 months
Orientation and skills testing are part of onboarding
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
Parking information and monthly rates are available upon request
On-call and holiday coverage is expected as part of the rotating schedule
Requirements
Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
Current BLS and any other required certifications must be active
Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience required
Must have Neuro IR and stroke nursing experience
Proficiency in independently reading and interpreting telemetry strips
Ability to pass a telemetry test with a score of 85% or higher on day one
Level I Trauma hospital experience required
Completion of Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B is required
