Managing Director, Food & Beverage Corporate Banking – Huntington National Bank
We are looking for a Managing Director to join our Consumer & Retail Corporate Banking team, focusing on Food & Beverage clients with annual sales exceeding $1Bn. The role involves consultative selling, partnership development, and cross‑sell of bank products.
Summary Develop and deepen relationships with clients and prospects through consultative selling and introductions to appropriate bank partners in debt and equity capital markets, FX risk management, treasury management, working capital, equipment financing, leasing, insurance, and private banking.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of Food & Beverage clients, deepening relationships and identifying partnership opportunities.
Identify prospective clients to onboard that align with Huntington’s target market criteria and risk tolerance.
Lead cross‑functional team in pre‑call planning sessions to robust client interactions.
Maintain an updated qualified prospect list aligned with the bank’s risk profile.
Maintain pipeline and proactively close opportunities.
Identify and mitigate credit risks, recommend credit structure, and articulate bank recommendations to clients.
Optimize customer relationships, generating revenue growth through cross‑selling applicable bank products.
Provide senior leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance or related field.
7+ years of experience in Food & Beverage Corporate Banking.
Established relationships within Consumer & Retail Food & Beverage vertical.
Deep subject‑matter expertise in the Food & Beverage vertical.
Series 63 and 79 licenses.
Ability to analyze corporate financial statements and recommend capital structure.
Knowledge of capital markets and multi‑bank/syndicated credit environments.
Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn proprietary systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Master of Business Administration.
Formal credit training and commercial banking underwriting experience.
Workplace Type Office – flexible work arrangement may be available.
Compensation Annual Salary $125,000 – $255,000. Eligibility for incentive compensation plan and benefits including health insurance, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave, holidays and PTO.
