We’re building an AI system that autonomously runs staffing and shift operations for small businesses. This is a zero-to-one company, not a resume line. We’re looking for a founding engineer who wants real ownership and is excited to build fast, learn fast, and iterate with users.
What you’ll do
Build and ship core product features end-to-end (backend, APIs, integrations, light frontend).
Work closely with the CEO and product lead to turn messy problems into working software.
Help design and implement AI-driven workflows (LLMs, automation, heuristics).
Talk to users when needed and adapt the product based on real feedback.
Own systems in production, not just prototypes.
What we’re looking for
Strong SWE fundamentals (you can design systems, not just prompt an LLM).
Experience with full-stack development (or strong backend with willingness to touch frontend).
Comfortable moving fast, making tradeoffs, and working with incomplete information.
Curious, open‑minded, and collaborative — not dismissive or cynical about early ideas.
Entrepreneurial mindset: you care about outcomes, not titles.
Nice to have (not required)
Experience with AI/LLMs, automation, or agentic systems.
Startup, hackathon, or side‑project background.
Interest in owning meaningful equity and growing with the company.
Logistics
Very early stage (pre‑incorporation / pre‑funding).
Part‑time to start (we’re all students), with intent to go full‑time if things work.
Meaningful equity, real responsibility, and real influence over direction.
