About Pearson:

At Pearson, we are committed to helping people make progress in their lives through learning. We create innovative and accessible educational products and services that foster personal and professional growth.

About the Job:

We embrace the SVPG Product Operating Model by empowering our product teams to solve hard problems – customer problems and business problems – in ways that our customers love yet work for our business. Our product teams are cross-functional, durable and generally comprised of a product manager, product design, tech lead and a program manager (4-in-a-box model).

While the product designer is accountable for ensuring the solution is usable, and the engineers are accountable for ensuring the solution is feasible, the product manager is accountable for ensuring the solution is both valuable and viable.

As a Product Director, you will lead product strategy, own a strategic pillar, develop and get buy‑in for a product strategy based on that pillar, define OKRs, develop a roadmap and collaborate closely with product design, engineering and leadership to deliver impactful educational solutions.

Responsibilities

Own product strategy for a strategic pillar and develop a product roadmap.

Define OKRs and develop a roadmap that delivers value to customers and the business.

Collaborate closely with product design, engineering, and leadership to discover effective solutions.

Influence stakeholders, executives, and cross‑functional teams through data‑driven decision making.

Own quarterly strategic planning, define OKRs and develop a roadmap, and drive the execution of deliverables.

Engage with leaders at all levels in constructive and collaborative relationships.

Drive shipping and ensure results, even when this means working through others to achieve necessary results.

Qualifications

Proven track record over multiple years as an individual contributor product manager responsible for value and viability of solutions.

Proven ability to go deep and quickly learn new domains, and solid understanding of all major parts of the business.

Demonstrated understanding of modern product discovery and product delivery techniques.

Demonstrated ability to learn multiple functional areas of business – engineering, design, finance, sales, or marketing.

Proven ability to engage with both individual contributors and leaders of all levels in constructive and collaborative relationships.

Responsible for assisting with quarterly strategic planning, defining OKRs and developing a roadmap.

Proven ability to own a strategic pillar, and develop and get buy‑in for a product strategy based on that pillar.

Compensation The minimum full‑time salary range is between $165,000 – $185,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.

Benefits Information on benefits offered is available here.
