Product Director (IC)
Remote – Full-Time – Pearson – Higher Education – Product Management and Marketing.
Job Overview We create innovative and accessible educational products and foster personal and professional growth. The Product Director leads the development of cutting‑edge educational products using the SVPG Product Operating Model. The product team is cross‑functional and follows a 4‑in‑a‑box model.
Responsibilities Define product strategy and roadmap, Own product vision and strategy for the key pillar of learning products. Collaborate closely with product design, engineering and program management to discover solutions, build and ship high‑impact features. Track user metrics, analyze industry trends, provide data‑driven arguments, & secure executive buy‑in. Own quarterly planning, OKRs and long‑term business impact.
Qualifications
Proven track record over multiple years as an individual contributor product manager responsible for value and viability of solutions
Proven ability to go deep and quickly learn new domains, as well as solid understanding of all major parts of the business
Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery
Demonstrated ability to learn multiple functional areas of business – engineering, design, finance, sales, or marketing
Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well‑structured, data‑informed, written narrative
Proven ability to engage with both individual contributors and leaders of all levels in constructive and collaborative relationships
Responsible for assisting with quarterly strategic planning, defining OKRs and developing a roadmap
Proven ability to own a strategic pillar, and develop and get buy‑in for a product strategy based on that pillar
Compensation Job is eligible for an annual incentive program and the minimum full‑time salary range is $165,000 - $185,000.
