Director of Operations

Are you a Director of Operations ready to take full ownership of performance across a complex, multi-site manufacturing organisation? Do you thrive in environments where consistency, discipline and accountability matter as much as results? Are you motivated by leading experienced leadership teams to deliver predictable, scalable operational outcomes? If so, this role may represent a compelling next step.

This organisation is a well established US manufacturer supplying highly regulated end markets where quality, traceability and reliability are critical. The business operates within a controlled supply chain environment and delivers technically complex products that demand rigorous process control, strong governance and disciplined execution. Its reputation is built on long term customer relationships and a track record of dependable performance.

As a core member of the executive leadership team, the Director of Operations will be responsible for day to day and longer term operational performance across multiple manufacturing locations. Working closely with the President and functional leaders, you will ensure operational strategy is tightly aligned to business objectives while reinforcing a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities for the Director of Operations include

Providing overall leadership and operational direction across multiple manufacturing sites

Owning performance across safety, quality, delivery and cost metrics

Driving consistency through standardised processes, systems and operating rhythms

Developing and coaching senior operational leaders, building bench strength and succession

Managing operational budgets and delivering sustainable efficiency improvements

The successful Director of Operations will bring

Significant senior leadership experience within manufacturing operations

Demonstrated success leading multisite or geographically dispersed operations

Strong commercial and financial capability with accountability for operational performance

Experience operating within regulated or compliance driven industries

The ability to lead change, align teams and drive execution through others

In return, you will join a stable, high trust organisation where operational excellence is valued, leadership influence is real and long term impact matters. This is an opportunity to shape performance at scale within a business that prioritises reliability, discipline and continuous improvement.

All Director of Operations applicants will be contacted over the first two working days of January with a view to interview with the end client mid-January.
