Property Accountant
Location: Bethesda, MD (hybrid)
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Base pay range $95,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr
Additional compensation types Annual Bonus
We are currently hiring for a Property Accountant with a growing REIT in Bethesda, MD. This role is newly created due to growth, will report directly to the Accounting Manager, and will be responsible for supporting the full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of properties, including month‑end close entries, cash reporting, fixed assets, general ledger maintenance, and assisting with external auditors for year‑end audit.
Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible for preparation and review of financial statements for assigned portfolio of properties
Prepare month‑end journal entries, record monthly adjusting and accrual entries
Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and posted in the accounting system
Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts on a regular basis
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records for all properties
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2-8 years of accounting experience required
Real Estate/Property Accounting experience required
Seniority level Associate
