Senior Estimator
Position Overview The Senior Estimator plays a critical role in the pre‑construction phase of various projects by providing accurate cost estimates and budgets. This position requires a deep understanding of construction processes and the ability to analyze project specifications and drawings to determine project costs. The Senior Estimator collaborates with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure that all bids are competitive and aligned with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for multifamily, senior living, affordable housing, healthcare, hospitality, and museum projects.
Develop and manage conceptual budgets and negotiated bids throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with project management teams to understand project scope and requirements.
Analyze project designs and specifications to identify potential cost‑saving opportunities.
Utilize estimating software to create and maintain accurate bid documents and reports.
Provide technical input and support for project planning and execution.
Conduct market research to remain informed about construction costs and trends in the industry.
Assist in the training and development of junior estimators and team members.
Qualifications
A minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
Proficient in estimating software and advanced technical skills.
Strong business acumen and understanding of financial concepts related to construction projects.
Experience with multifamily, senior living, and healthcare projects preferred.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
Compensation:
$140,000 - $190,000 (weekly payroll)
