President and CEO at MB STAFFING SERVICES, LLC Mb Staffing Services is seeking dynamic and results-driven Category Manager to support the Capital Procurement Division. These professionals will lead strategic sourcing, vendor development, and contracting initiatives across large and complex capital projects.

The ideal candidates will be strong negotiators and analytical thinkers with demonstrated experience in engineering, construction, or design/build procurement. Base pay range $99,840.00/yr - $120,640.00/yr

Responsibilities

Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies for assigned capital projects in alignment with business goals.

Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including vendor research, solicitation development, proposal evaluation, and contract negotiation.

Prepare complex RFx and bid documentation; chair or oversee pre-bid and pre-proposal meetings.

Advise internal stakeholders on procurement policies, contract structures, and best practices.

Lead negotiations with vendors and coordinate with legal, finance, and executive leadership on procurement strategy and compliance.

Support continuous improvement by contributing to procurement policy and process development.

Mentor and provide guidance to junior sourcing and contracting staff.

Ensure compliance with all procurement standards and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, technical, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in sourcing and contracting; or

Three (3) years with a master’s degree.

Preferred Background: Private sector or consulting experience.

Certifications: ISM, APICS, NIGP, or NCMA preferred (or ability to obtain within one year).

Skills

Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple complex initiatives.

Expertise in RFx process management, contract negotiation, and vendor development.

Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive-level stakeholders.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Knowledge of capital procurement within engineering, construction, or infrastructure environments.
