Asset Manager – Project/Program Manager II is a role within King County’s Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS). Review and monitor affordable housing contracts for compliance with terms, covenants, federal regulations and King County policies. Conduct on‑site inspections of housing projects and document findings and required corrective actions. Review annual resident income data for compliance and maintain accurate records. Track and analyze performance reports from housing providers and offer technical assistance to complete data gaps. Perform analysis and write staff recommendations on properties with workout requests, including exploring refinancing, restructuring debt, negotiating affordability levels and transferring ownership. Integrate an equity and social justice framework into program duties, communications and portfolio analysis to determine racial distribution of affordable housing and identify gaps. Develop collaborative relationships with external partners and internal teams to meet county goals related to historic racial inequities and critical housing needs. Respond to inquiries and provide technical assistance to public partners, community‑based organizations and co‑workers across county departments. Draft external and internal reports, correspondence and maintain program files. Qualifications
Minimum of two years’ work experience in affordable housing, community development, asset management and/or property management. Strong financial analysis skills and experience with affordable housing operating and expense budgets. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with diverse constituencies. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to track multiple projects. Demonstrated commitment to Equity and Social Justice principles and practices. Independent and collaborative work style with stakeholder and partner engagement. The position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm, and is overtime eligible with supervisory pre‑approval. The position is represented by Protec17. Mission Critical Status
The position is Non‑Mission Critical. All employees, regardless of designation, are expected to report to work or request leave during emergencies or inclement weather. Teleworking Requirement
