Role Summary As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for positioning and selling MPX curated third‑party partner solutions to our existing and prospective customers. This is a high‑impact sales role for someone who thrives at the intersection of business development, ecosystem selling, and consultative sales. You will also be responsible for cross‑sell and up‑sell in our existing account base.
You’ll work closely with MPX core sales team, customer success, product, and strategic partners to introduce value‑added technologies and services that complement our core offerings. Your goal is to deliver expanded outcomes and unlock new revenue streams through ecosystem innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Solution Sales
Sell third‑party partner products and services embedded within or integrated with MPX’s core platform.
Experience selling a suite of print services including: commercial print, digital print, forms, labels, kitting and fulfillment ordering, other solutions and services, customer communications management services, programming, graphic design, web‑2‑print, mailing services (USPS, UPS/FedEx), warehousing, distribution portals, lock box, digital mail scanning, OCR, payments.
Partner Relationship Management
Build and nurture relationships with partner executives, alliance managers, and sales leaders.
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, ensuring mutual value creation and long‑term alignment.
Regularly assess partner performance and lead QBRs.
Drive Revenue & Adoption
Meet and exceed sales targets related to partner‑attached revenue and adoption.
Build and manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities involving partner solutions.
Track partner‑related sales metrics, attach rates, and upsell/expansion wins.
Strategic Collaboration
Serve as the primary sales liaison between MPX and partner sales teams.
Align with Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure seamless execution and enablement.
Influence partner enablement materials, playbooks, and joint value propositions.
Evangelism & Enablement
Deliver product demos and presentations focused on the impact of partner solutions.
Train internal teams and support partner go‑to‑market launches.
Represent MPX at industry events, webinars, and partner roadshows.
Market Knowledge
Stay current on the competitive landscape, trends in adjacent technologies, and partner ecosystem movements.
Identify gaps in the portfolio and help prioritize new partner opportunities.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS, technology, or enterprise solution sales.
Strong understanding of channel/partner sales models and strategic alliances.
Proven success selling through or with partner ecosystems (ISVs, integrators, or managed services).
Excellent communication and storytelling skills tailored to business and technical audiences.
Experience working cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, growth‑stage company.
Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and ecosystem management tools.
Preferred Experience
Prior communications or data infrastructure company experience.
Background in selling bundled solutions or platform extensions through marketplaces or partner portals.
Knowledge of procurement processes and integration strategies for large enterprises.
