Job Summary The Activity Director provides an ongoing program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing of each resident.

Essential Duties

Develop and plan activities including group social activities, spiritual programs, creative and educational programs, and exercise activities.

Oversight of Activity Aides.

Review resident goals and progress notes, and properly document MDS reports.

Foster relationships with family members and community partners to support the Activity department.

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or its equivalent.

Completion of a training course for Activity Directors.

At least 2 years minimum of experience in a social or recreational program in a nursing facility.
