Senior Network Architect/SME in Service Provider Backbone, Enterprise Level LAN/WAN, QoS and Traffic Engineering
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Network Architect/SME in Service Provider Backbone, LAN/WAN and DW/DM for our NIH-CIT proposal. This position is located in Bethesda, MD and is a remote/hybrid position.

Responsibilities
Coordinate with the Section Manager to evaluate, design, and test architecture designs and services from the roadmap backlog
Lead the transition of user accepted designs and services to the Operations and Security Teams
Provide subject matter expertise in Service Provider backbone, Enterprise-level LAN/WAN, Enterprise-level Quality of Service (QoS), and Enterprise-level Traffic Engineering
Strategically plan, architect, design, engineer, develop, test, implement, modernize and enhance the functional capabilities, capacity, and performance of the NIH Network and TIC Services in alignment with NIH future state architecture objectives
Software and hardware installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance
Team with the Security Section to achieve security architecture requirements
Maintain technical architecture documentation
Troubleshooting and problem resolution
Change management
Support resources responsible for security implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation
Strategic & Transformative planning for network architecture services
Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience or commensurate experience.
Required Skills And Experience
CCIE certification: written and practical
Within Cisco Certifications, specializations needed in order of importance: Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, Wireless
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
