Qualifications

Holder of at least a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, with an advanced degree (such as an MBA) or professional certification (CPA) strongly preferred.

Significant senior‑level financial leadership experience with demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance in nonprofit or educational settings.

Experience working in independent, Catholic, or mission‑driven organizations highly desirable.

Strong ethical judgment, discretion, and ability to align financial strategy with institutional mission and long‑term sustainability.

Clear commitment to and ability to support Cheverus’ Catholic, Jesuit mission and identity is essential.

Priority given to applications received by January 16, 2026. Responsibilities

Assist the President in developing the annual operating budget for the School each fiscal year.

Provide guidance to School personnel in key business management areas including budget preparation, performance, and purchasing.

Supervise the Treasurer’s Office staff and direct reports such as Dining Services and Campus Store Managers.

Develop strategies for long‑range financial planning.

Review existing accounting and reporting systems to improve internal controls, operating efficiencies, and timely, accurate monthly management reporting.

Lead financial analysis and cash management, including developing cash‑flow monitoring procedures, comparing actual operating results to budget, and identifying revenue enhancement or cost‑containment opportunities.

Participate in financial policy‑making by interacting with the Finance and Investment Committees of the Board of Trustees and providing administrative and analytical support to these committees.

Serve on the Facilities Committee of the Board and oversee capital improvement projects, including long‑range forecasting and execution on time and within budget.

Act as a member of the School’s Tuition Assistance Committee, ensuring the Treasurer’s Office manages the student work‑grant program.

Co‑administer key personnel management areas of hiring and benefits with the Director of Human Resources.

Oversee the School’s insurance and risk‑management program.

Serve as the point of contact for banking, investment, audit, and municipal relationships, including debt compliance, endowment management, and institutional endowment coordination with the Investment Committee.

Oversee tuition and fee collection policy.

Represent the President of the School as directed and required.
