Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.
Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and support the pharmacist under supervision.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers, ensuring compliance with company policies, laws, regulations, and business ethics.
Select, schedule, train, coach, and manage performance of pharmacy technicians, including discipline and termination decisions when necessary.
Assist the pharmacist with patient care tasks such as registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, counting, and verification, and complete patient calls under supervision.
Manage pharmacy inventory, including annual inventory preparation and ensuring equipment is properly maintained.
Ensure compliance with Good Faith Dispensing, asset protection, and diversion monitoring, and report concerns to the Pharmacy Manager.
Process insurance claims, resolve customer issues, and conduct or participate in third-party audits to minimize payment rejections.
Coordinate community outreach, off-site immunization clinics, events, and retail partnerships to expand community pharmacy services.
Drive new technology and process rollouts, champion change initiatives, and engage the team around action planning.
Support the Store Manager and Pharmacy Manager in analyzing and improving pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (with certain exceptions).
Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management or leadership experience.
Prior experience with Walgreens and a performance evaluation of Exceeding Expectation.

The current salary range for this position is $22.50 per hour - $31.00 per hour. The actual hourly salary within this range that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
