Job Summary:
Are you detail-oriented and efficient? We are looking for a skilled Shipping & Receiving Associate for our Salt Lake City, Utah location. This vital role ensures the smooth flow of goods in and out of our facility. You will be responsible for accurately receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and preparing outgoing shipments with precision. This includes inspecting goods for damage, properly labeling packages, and coordinating with carriers. A thorough understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management is essential. You will also be expected to maintain an organized and safe receiving and shipping area, adhering to all company Safety policies, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE and safe Lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments accurately.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Maintain accurate receiving and shipping records.
- Organize and maintain the receiving and shipping dock areas.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and protocols.
- Adhere to proper Lifting procedures and use of PPE.
- Coordinate with logistics and transportation providers.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving roles.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using warehouse equipment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and external partners.
