Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment according to specifications.
- Load outgoing shipments onto delivery trucks, ensuring proper securement.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of shipping and receiving areas.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external carriers.
- Support overall warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving or warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory control.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and order fulfillment.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety guidelines.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
