We are seeking a reliable and efficient Shipping & Receiving Associate for our logistics facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is vital for the smooth operation of our warehouse, focusing on the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for coordinating the flow of goods, ensuring that all items are correctly handled, documented, and staged. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Process outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and labeling.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving logs and documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers and transportation providers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure the dock area is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock put-away.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and regulations, including the use of PPE.
Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in using warehouse equipment; training will be provided as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and occasional overtime as required.
- Must be committed to safety and wear all required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
