Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, and process outgoing orders for shipment.
- Generate accurate shipping labels, packing slips, and other required documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, freight).
- Inspect outgoing shipments for completeness and accuracy before dispatch.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files for efficient tracking and auditing.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Operate shipping equipment such as scales and pallet jacks.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or vocational training is a plus.
- Previous experience in a shipping, logistics, or administrative role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills (MS Office).
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with various shipping carriers and their requirements.
- Must be able to perform moderate lifting, up to 30 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
