This role demands an organized individual with a keen eye for detail, responsible for both receiving incoming shipments and preparing outgoing orders. You will ensure inventory accuracy, maintain organized stock, and coordinate with carriers to guarantee timely and efficient movement of products. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies, documenting any issues.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment according to specifications.
- Operate shipping software to generate labels and track shipments.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and manage outgoing freight.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in both receiving and shipping areas, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with discrepancy investigations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve operational challenges.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using WMS, shipping software, and scanning equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to upholding Safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic logistics environment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential.
- Familiarity with transportation logistics is a plus.
