Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, inspect, and log all incoming shipments.
- Verify inventory against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately process outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouse staff, and management.
- Assist with other logistics tasks as needed to support warehouse operations.
- Meet performance standards for both shipping and receiving functions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or receiving role within a logistics environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
