Job Summary:
We are hiring an experienced Inventory Control Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia, to enhance our warehouse operations. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our inventory. You will be responsible for conducting thorough cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing best practices in inventory management. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a keen eye for detail are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities:
  • Execute and manage cycle counting procedures to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages or overages, and report findings.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS and other tracking systems.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and suggest process improvements.
  • Ensure proper organization, labeling, and storage of all inventory items.
  • Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and sales teams to manage stock effectively.
  • Develop and refine inventory control procedures to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all Safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE.
  • Assist in training warehouse personnel on inventory management best practices.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role.
  • Proficiency in using WMS software and other inventory management tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting, as required.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
  • Familiarity with warehouse Safety regulations and best practices.
  • Must be willing to wear and utilize required PPE.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
