Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. You will work closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to ensure stock accuracy and minimize shrinkage. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding high standards of warehouse safety and efficiency. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify reorder needs.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper rotation and storage of inventory.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve inventory issues.
  • Identify and report damaged or defective inventory.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Must be capable of Lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting.
