Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies, reporting any issues promptly.
- Accurately document and log all received inventory into the company's system.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch.
- Load outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles, securing them properly.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified), adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in both receiving and shipping areas.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external vendors.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a general warehouse role is required.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Proficiency in using hand-held scanners and basic computer systems for data entry.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Understanding of logistics principles and warehouse operations.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
